Cars

This weekend I had the opportunity to take pictures of some pretty amazing cars.  We volunteered little sister Shayla to model with the cars for a fun Sunday adventure.  It was a beautiful sunny day full of giggles, oh my gosh's, and plenty of family time.  Here are my fav. photos of the day:

Adorable, young love.

I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Weekend Adventures

This weekend we were on our own adventures.

One of us was participating in the Bubble Run, a charity run 5K for Sign Design, a local sign language community club.

Visiting with the family goats, there were three new arrivals Friday night, one has been marked with love:

While the other one of us was visiting the flower fields in Carlsbad, CA

And spending some quality time with our grandparents

We are pretty lucky to have such beautiful lives.

Late Night Eats

We kind of like to bake around here, one of us bakes, the other decorates.  Today it was just baking.  You can find the original recipe HERE although I have to warn you, we didn't use the original.  No nuts, no extra sugar for garnish, no white chocolate chips, no stick butter (oopsie, we used tub butter because we had no sticks!).  Mrs. Fields copy cat cookie cake was more like, a fluffy chocolate chip cookie cake.

Either way, it tasted amazing, and looks pretty dang cute.

We hope your "late night" eats were as tasty as ours.

Live & Let Live

Once upon a time, I was more worried about how many miles were on my car than the places it could take me.  I was worried that my future would never be as bright as my past.  I was more worried about what people thought about my decisions than what would actually make me happy, and I was caught up worrying about other people's lives.

Today was not my brightest day.

So I try to remember to cherish every little moment that makes me happy.  To grasp everything I will never get again.  That late night phone call with someone you care about, that funny conversation with your best friend that had you giggling for a week.  I realized it's not about the amount of miles you drive, or the number of years you've been alive, but the moments that keep you living...

I am sending the blogger world positive vibes today.  Facebook says I'm not the only one experiencing a bad day.

So, here's my favorite quote to keep us going:
